Sustainability Summit: Call for Presentations

Call for Presentations

This year, we are encouraging submissions from the community for in-person presentations at the Sustainability Summit.

Who

We invite members of the public and organizations to submit proposals for presentations and panels at this year’s summit.

What

Presentations should address questions and issues of concern to Bristol Bay communities that help achieve one or more of the following goals:

  • Fostering solution-based dialogue and understanding on key sustainability issues.

  • Inspiring increased community and civic engagement.

  • Strengthening sustainability-focused networks.

  • Building local capacity and resources.

We welcome proposals that speak to the subject areas below. Other topics are still accepted for consideration.

  • GOTV & Civic Engagement

    • Initiatives and candidates on this year’s ballot

    • How and why to vote

  • Climate Change

    • Adaptation Plans & Resources (maps, etc.)

    • Emergency & disaster preparedness

    • Community planning

  • Infrastructure & Energy

    • Housing and home improvement resources

    • Alternative energy projects

  • Fisheries

    • Subsistence, commercial, & sport

    • Permanent protections

    • Innovations

  • Workforce Development, Training, & Education

Format & Logistics

Presentations will be included within 30-60 minute sessions. 10-15 minutes for dialogue and Q&A should be allowed within the session time. Presentations can be in the form of powerpoint slides, a panel discussion, debate, workshop, dialogue groups, action planning session, etc.

Proposals are due by May 22, 2026.

Your proposal should include your name (and the name(s) of co-presenters, if applicable), your organization and title (if applicable), as well as your proposed topic and presentation format.
