Sustainability Summit: Call for Presentations

We’re excited to announce the return of the Bristol Bay Sustainability Summit!

Call for Presentations

This year, we are encouraging submissions of proposals for in-person presentations at the Sustainability Summit.

Who

We invite members of the public, Tribes, municipalities, and organizations, etc. to submit proposals to present at the 2026 Summit.

What

Presentations should be related to the core Summit topics, including

  • Climate adaptation and emergency preparedness

  • Energy and infrastructure

  • Fisheries

  • Workforce development, training, and education

  • Get out the vote

Presentations are encouraged to:

  • Foster solution-based dialogue and understanding

  • Inspire community and civic engagement

  • Strengthen sustainability-focused networks (in and out of the region)

  • Build local capacity and resources

Format & Logistics

Presentations at the Summit will ideally fit in a 30-60 minute timeframe (this includes time for q&a and or participant dialogue). The format of the presentation is up to the presenter(s), such as a lecture, a panel discussion, debate, workshop, dialogue group, action planning session, etc. All formats are welcome.

Proposals are due by May 22, 2026.

Proposals must include:

  • Name, organization and title (if applicable). Also include name(s) of co-presenters, if applicable.

  • Contact phone and email address

  • Applicable summit topic(s) from the list above

  • Presentation title and summary

  • Preferred time allotment (30 or 60 min)

  • Brief explanation of how your presentation addresses any of the encouraged goals, including: Fostering solution-based dialogue and understanding, Inspiring community and civic engagement, strengthening sustainability-focused networks (in and out of the region), and building local capacity and resources.

If your proposal is accepted, please indicate if you would require travel support to present at the Summit. There may be very limited travel support for presenters, but it is not guaranteed and will be considered on a case by case basis as funding allows.

Proposals must be submitted via email to Delores Larson at dlarson@utbb.org by May 22, 2026. Accepted proposals will be notified by the end of June.
