In the spring session, our 11 COAs identified a need in their communities and completed a project to address it. The gallery below highlights just a few of the spring projects and feedback from the session.
Later this fall, the COAs will continue work to facilitate voter education leading up to the Midterm election this November. Stay tuned!
“Don’t be intimidated to work from home, maintain your time, show up and show out. Don’t be scared to speak in front of people. Include yourself during training and ask questions!”
“Observe your community. Where is it politically and socially. What are “needs” of the community. Don’t be afraid to ask how to do something.”
“If you can make one person happy and grateful getting subsistence food makes this project worth it. This will be an on going project through out the summer. Its always been in us to share and not waste our food. To see elders happy for what they got.”
